About The Veterans Coalition
Founded on the belief that every veteran deserves dignity, safety, and the opportunity to thrive.
Built from the need we saw around us.
The Veterans Coalition of Long Island was founded by Patricia Kingsbury, who saw firsthand that veterans across Long Island needed more than awareness — they needed direct, tangible community support.
We serve Brooklyn, Queens, Nassau County, and Suffolk County. Our work is built around a simple truth: every veteran deserves dignity, community, and access to the support they need. When people feel seen and supported, they can begin to rebuild.
Active outreach programs serving veterans across Long Island.
These aren't just statistics. They're our neighbors. VCLI was founded to bring tangible support directly to them — through care packages, community outreach, and partnerships with the organizations already serving veterans across Long Island.
“A society where every survivor and veteran has access to shelter, dignity, and the opportunity to thrive.”
